Dr. Srishti Tody

Dr. Srishti Tody specializes in dental sleep medicine and chronic facial pain including TMJ disorders, trigeminal nerve pain and primary headache disorders.

She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai in 2013. She worked at KEM and Sion hospital before going to the USA for further studies. In 2015 she went to the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry to begin a two year post-graduate clinical residency in Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine. In 2022, she returned to the US to complete a 4 month mini-residency in Peadiatric Dental Sleep Medicine at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. This has enabled her to manage young patients who also may suffer from unhealthy sleep.

Dr.Tody is board certified by the American Board of Orofacial Pain. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP), American Headache Society (AHS), International Association for Study of Pain (IASP), Headache Cooperative of the Pacific (HCOP), American Dental Association (ADA) and Indian Dental Association (IDA).

Dr. Tody’s focus is on treating and managing all aspects of chronic oral, facial and head pain. She treats patients with orofacial pain conditions including musculoskeletal pain (TMD/TMJ, myofascial pain), atypical tooth pain, trigeminal nerve disorders, burning mouth syndrome, neurovascular and neuropathic pain. She is experienced in fabrication of TMJ orthotics/splints and dental sleep appliances for management of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. She specialises in the use of BOTOX injections for migraines and orofacial pain conditions, intra-articular TMJ injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks. She also manages patients suffering from refractory primary headache disorders such as migraine, tension-type headache, cluster headache and occipital neuralgia, etc.

Dr. Tody is one among only a handful of board certified Orofacial pain doctors in India. She was one of the youngest diplomates to be board certified. She has published papers in various international journals. She is uniquely qualified to evaluate the stomatognathic system, the TMJ and the nerves and muscles of the mouth, head and face to determine their role in the initiation and perpetuation of various pain states. She believes in a multidisciplinary approach and works alongside other medical and dental colleagues to provide the best possible care for her patients. With her pleasant and positive demeanor, she spends the time necessary to evaluate patients and formulate a treatment plan that works best for them.
